Dreams do come true...

Since I first moved to the Mapleton area in 2001, I had my eye on an empty storefront in the little Mapleton mall. It had long been a dream of mine to have a cozy place where I could share my love of all things cottage and floral as well as a work area to put together custom wedding designs. After 5 years of looking in the window and imagining all the things I could do with the space, it finally became available. When a "for rent" sign went up in the window in January of 2006, the timing was great. 

After two happy years in the little 10 x 40 shop, space was getting tight. There were directions that I wanted to take the business that just wouldn't work at the current location. In the spring of 2008, fate stepped in again and an amazing offer was made and accepted. The Nest re-opened at its new home in the Bridgeport Landing building in May of 2008. It was a beautiful space filled with lots of light and an awesome view of the river. 

Then fate stepped in again. In January of 2010, a perfect little storefront that was just meant to be The Nest came available and we took it. I love the little porch and the worn plank floors. Very cozy and nest like!

The shop that was created out of my dreams, imagination, lots of paint and elbow grease has evolved over the years. The Nest is an inviting, peaceful place to be and a place where customers can not only find the treasures they want, but also see how to use them in their homes as part of an overall decor.
